Custom Scanning & Retouching
We can scan and retouch ancient and crumbling family portraits, retouch your headshot, get the stroller out of your wedding photos, and more! Retouching is priced based on the amount of time it would take to edit the file, bring in your old and new photos or email us a digital file for a free estimate.
Additional Information & Pricing
Retouching is $100 per hour of work, which works out to $25 per 15min of work. If you bring in the piece or file you need retouched, or email us the file or a picture of the image, we can give you an estimate on the cost of retouching. Some things are irreparable and we would be able to give you a better idea of what can be done after seeing the state of the original.
Turnaround Time
Turnaround will depend on how much retouching is required and the current workload but would be a minimum of 3-4 days.
File specs and Additional Information
The cost to custom scan a photograph or negative smaller than 11x17 is $22; if we are also printing for you from the file the price to scan goes down to $15. Custom scanning is required if your photographic print or negative is larger than 11x17, it is also necessary if you want to be able to print from your file 12x18 or larger. For non-photographic artwork, there is only the option to custom scan, see the chart for pricing. The prices for custom scans and artwork scans include the handling of your originals as well as editing to get your file to match your original as closely as possible.
